Faith ain't Always Easy

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1, ESV

Faith is not easy because I want to see, and I want to know how everything is going to happen before I take that step. I want to be the one in control; however, faith in God doesn’t work like that. Yet my faith in God is never wasted as I followed the F.A.I.T.H. steps:

F – Faith in God and not my own strength, wisdom, or knowledge. He’s never failed me, although I’ve failed Him repeatedly. He remained faithful to me even when I was faithless.

A – Attitude of expectation that God heard and will answer my prayers in His perfect timing. I walked in faith as though it was going to happen rather than stumbling in fear or doubt.

I – Integrated scripture into my prayers. I searched and prayed according to the scriptures that resonated with each specific faith walk.

T – Talked about it with others. I shared my hopes with those who could give solid, godly advice and wisdom on my journey.

H – Held on to the vision. Sometimes circumstances and situations tested my faith, and I would waver in doubt or fear. But I learned the habit of circling back to the original motivation and purpose of the vision.

What’s the Point?

While faith isn’t always easy—it’s always better for you to choose faith in God more than faith in anyone or anything else. Your faith journey will have its ups and downs, but overall—it’s better to move forward with faith in God than to standstill in doubt, fear, and/or unbelief.
